Many of us have family, friends, people we know who serve and have served in the armed forces. Some returned home. Others did not. Some came home forever changed by what they saw, what they endured, and what they gave up. There’s a phrase often quoted at military memorials, drawn from the words of Jesus Himself: “Greater love has no one than this: that he lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13 It’s a statement of supreme love — not just affection, not sentiment, but sacrifice.
Please make plans to be present at both our 5:30pm Saturday Service and 10:30am Sunday service. Invite those you know who serve or have served in the armed forces and/or their family members. We will have pulled pork, green beans, chips and drinks for everyone after each service, especially our veterans.
To have your veteran honored, please submit a photograph including details of their service - branch, years of service, and current status to office@mymcc.info. (information must be submitted no later than November 1st)
All service personnel are encouraged to attend in uniform.
Special thanks to our own BBQ Cowboy (Jimmy O’Higgins” who is partnering with us for this special event)
