WELCOME TO THE PARENT DIFFERENTLY: 21-DAY CHALLENGE!
God created our children intentionally; by His design, with purpose, identity, and calling. In a world that is increasingly confused about identity and constantly competing for the hearts of our kids, parents need wisdom, clarity, and confidence to lead their homes with truth and grace.
Whether it’s just you and your spouse or you have kids of all ages in your home, this challenge is built to bring new life to your home. The goal is to help your family connect and grow together. For the next 21 days, you will practice three simple daily rhythms (READ, TALK, PRAY) to help your family experience God. (Stick this card on your fridge or in a place you will see it each day.)
READ | TALK | PRAY
READ
Find the time when your family is most available to sit down together for 10 minutes to take turns reading God’s Word aloud. (Scroll down to see the 21-day Discovery Bible Study Plan)
TALK
Make the commitment to eat together for one meal each day. During this time, start a conversation, working through at least two discussion questions (Scroll down) while you enjoy your meal together.
PRAY
Take time in the morning to pray together or individually. Make this time simple and encouraging:
1. Thank God for giving us today.
2. Ask God to help us show His ways.
(peace, patience, love, etc.)
3. Invite God to show each of us someone we can serve/love/share with today.
Take time in the evening to pray together. Consider working through the P.R.A.Y. acronym
Praise - What’s something God did today that you want to praise Him for?
Repent - What’s something you thought or did that you need to confess and ask forgiveness for?
Ask - Who, what, or where are you asking God to work in and through? (Struggles, needs, etc...)
Yield - Surrender your desires to be done God’s way, and close with “Amen” - let it be done.
